Scott Kerns
Southerner through and through, LEAD Hospitality Group Partner Scott Kerns has established himself as a force in the Atlanta restaurant scene. He got his start in college, working his way up through bars and restaurants in South Carolina with his now partner Scott McCray.
In 2017, the Scotts joined forces once again to open their first of many partnered locations: McCray’s Tavern Midtown, in the original space where the first Carylon’s Café was established. The duo has gone on to open five additional location together since 2020.
Stephen Steininger
Stephen Steininger brings a flair for high-style creativity and artisanal craft to our highly-rated beverage programs. His passion for great cocktails, fine wines, and specialty spirits is showcased in the quality and selection guests find every day at the Perry Street Chophouse bar. With more than a decade directing and refining beverage operations at LEAD Hospitality Group, his efforts ensure we provide amazing, unforgettable food and drink experiences for every guest.
Elena Lavigne
Elena Lavigne, CPA, joined LEAD Hospitality in 2019 as our corporate controller, bringing over a decade of expertise in financial management, tax planning, and audit services. With a Masters in Accounting and a commitment to excellence, Elena is known for her meticulous attention to detail and strategic insights. Her extensive experience spans various industries, and she is a trusted advisor, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial operations.
Deana Mcrae STewart
Deana brings a fresh perspective having recently joined us to oversee purchasing and accounts payable. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she has quickly made her mark on our organization.
In her role, Deana demonstrates a remarkable ability to navigate the complexities of purchasing and accounts payable with precision and efficiency. Her dedication to streamlining processes and ensuring accuracy has already proven invaluable in optimizing our operations.

Scott is driven by exceptional ingredients and outstanding hospitality. At the helm of multiple award-winning concepts, Scott deeply values the hard work of small farmers and artisans who bring prime cuts and choice harvest to our kitchens, and the hard work of every team member who helps bring an unforgettable experience to every guest.
Mary Lay
Mary Lay embraced her passion for hospitality in college. Her hard work and dedication have helped shape the foundation of LEAD Hospitality and her ability to adapt rapidly and thrive under pressure has helped us face countless challenges behind the scenes. Mary got her start with LEAD Hospitality and quickly rose through the ranks to a management position that would eventually lead to a role as Director. A natural leader, she lends support to our management team and provides valuable guidance and insight in decision-making. Her team-centered approach allows us to deliver the highest level of hospitality.
Nicole Swofford
Nicole's journey with our company is a testament to her dedication and drive. Graduating from GA State University with a degree in Sociology, balancing her academic pursuits with bartending across several of our locations. Through hard work and determination, she swiftly transitioned into management roles, demonstrating her natural leadership abilities.
Her ascent within the company continued as she assumed the position of Regional Director, overseeing all of McCray's brands across Metro Atlanta. Nicole's dedication to empowering and coaching others is evident in every aspect of her work. With her strong leadership and innate ability to motivate, Nicole continues to drive success and excellence within our company.
Dixie Bethune
In her capacity as handling accounts payable and payroll for all our locations, Dixie has proven herself to be an indispensable asset. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures the smooth and efficient operation of essential financial processes, playing a pivotal role in the backbone of our business.

As an Eaton Academy graduate, he plays a key role in coordinating merchandise, reviewing company websites and marketing materials, and managing office supplies. His contributions ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
